FBI kept using Steele dossier for FISA applications despite documenting ex-spy's bias, documents show
The FBI formally documented the apparent anti-Trump bias of British ex-spy Christopher Steele shortly after the November 2016 presidential election -- yet despite the red flags, continued to use his unverified dossier in multiple Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) court warrant application renewals, records obtained by Fox News show. The partially redacted documents, first obtained by Judicial Watch, also revealed that top Justice Department official Bruce Ohr maintained contact with Steele for at least six months after Steele was fired by the FBI for unauthorized media contacts in November 2016. The records further confirmed that Ohr knew of Steele's anti-Trump bias before the 2016 election. "This is just the tip of the iceberg," Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., told Fox News' "Hannity" Thursday evening. "I know personally there's a lot more out there." The summaries of FBI interviews with Ohr, known as 302s, indicated that Ohr knew by September 2016 -- a month before the initial FISA application to surveil the Trump campaign -- that an individual with links to the dossier was "desperate that Donald Trump not get elected and was passionate about him not being the U.S. President.” (More at link...) View Quote Fox News contributor and "Spygate" author Dan Bongino said newly released FBI documents are "devastating" for those who initiated the Trump-Russia investigation in 2016, claiming an "information laundering operation" is being uncovered. "There was an effort to target the Trump team with information that was factually inaccurate, that he was colluding with the Russians," he said on "Fox & Friends" Friday, alleging that Christopher Steele's dossier was a "front" so that the false information could be used to obtain a surveillance warrant. The FBI formally documented the apparent anti-Trump bias of Steele, a British ex-spy, shortly after the November 2016 presidential election -- yet despite the red flags, continued to use his unverified dossier in multiple Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) court warrant application renewals, according to records obtained by Fox News. While much of the information confirmed by the release had previously been reported by Fox News, the FBI documents nonetheless paint a damning picture, Bongino said. View Quote Conservative watchdog group Judicial Watch on Thursday evening obtained 34 pages of FBI 302 interviews with twice-demoted DOJ official Bruce Ohr about his contacts with dossier author Christopher Steele. Bruce Ohr acted as a backchannel to the FBI after Christopher Steele was terminated as a CHS [Confidential Human Source] for his improper contacts with the media. A 302 report is used by FBI agents to summarize notes taken while interviewing a subject. The Bruce Ohr 302s revealed that Christopher Steele was in direct contact with then-Senator John McCain’s office BEFORE the election, prior to October of 2016 — much earlier than previously known. “Steele also told OHR that he spoke with a staff member of Senator John McCain’s office sometime prior to October 2016. Steele had this conversation at the request of [REDACTED]. Since October 2016, Steele had not spoken to anyone regarding the Trump dossier,” the 302 report said. (screenshot below) (More at link...) View Quote When a 20-year-old man reportedly walked into a Springfield, Missouri, Walmart carrying tactical weapons and wearing body armor on Thursday, an off-duty firefighter carrying his own concealed weapon held the suspect at gunpoint until police arrived. The suspect was pushing a shopping cart through the store and recording a video on his cell phone when the store manager pulled the fire alarm, evacuating customers. The suspect made his way out an emergency exit where the firefighter held him for three minutes until police arrested him. “His intent obviously was to cause chaos here, and he did that,” Springfield police Lt. Mike Lucas told the Springfield News-Leader. He was reportedly carrying a “tactical rifle” and another gun, and he had more than 100 rounds of ammunition. Police said no injuries were reported and no shots were fired. “At this time, the investigation is on-going and we are working to determine his motives,” police said in a Facebook post. Following the mass shooting in El Paso, Texas, Walmart said on Monday that the company would not stop selling firearms or change its open carry policies. Unlike its competitor Costco Wholesale, Walmart allows shoppers to carry firearms openly or concealed in cities and states where it is legal. “There has been no change in company policy,” spokesman Randy Hargrove said in an interview with the Washington Post. “We follow all federal, state, and local regulations.” (More at link...) CNN Sympathetically Profiled Illegal Immigrant Dodging Deportation — 8 Months Later He Killed A Man
An illegal immigrant who received positive press coverage during his fight against deportation earlier this year struck and killed a father of five in Colorado on Aug. 2 while driving without a license. According to press reports, Miguel Ramirez Valiente was charged with careless driving with a revoked license after he over-corrected his truck while driving on a state highway near Colorado Springs, hitting Sean Buchanan. Buchanan was riding a motorcycle when he was hit by Ramirez Valiente, who came to the U.S. from El Salvador 14 years ago. Ramirez Valiente has several prior charges on his arrest record. According to Denver’s ABC news affiliate, The Denver Channel, Ramirez Valiente was charged with reckless endangerment in 2011 and domestic violence in 2016. Both cases were dismissed by the El Paso County district attorney. View Quote In a special NBC News investigation aired on Thursday's NBC Nightly News, anchor Lester Holt and chief foreign correspondent Richard Engel explained how Russia aimed to “spread racial tensions in America. It comes from new research showing Russians are behind the push to spread some of the most shocking viral videos.” But the kicker? Some of those same viral videos (at least 4) were proliferated by NBC News themselves. “Turns out these videos and dozens of others all inflaming racial tensions in America did not go viral by accident,” Engel continued while a collage of such viral videos appeared on the screen. “They were pushed and promoted by Russian operatives, according to new research by cyber experts at Clemson University.” One of the viral videos shown (the one on the far right in the picture provided) was of a white woman who confronted a black man as they were entering the same apartment building. She followed him to his apartment while demanding to know if he lived there. It turns out that NBC News and ABC News both pushed that story hard. The video provided even shows the Russia-backed viral videos NBC help to spread. “Now to St. Louis and growing outrage over video of a white woman stopping a black man from entering his own apartment racking up millions of views,” Holt announced on October 15, 2018. “It's the latest in a string of racially tinged incidents on camera.” (More at link...) View Quote The video below shows the current state of the border fence between the cities of San Diego and Tijuana, Mexico. Construction of a new 15-mile, 30-foot-high secondary fence is in progress at this time and is about half finished. A primary fence, fifteen miles long has been completed in the last couple of years. I hear these fences were both paid for by money appropriated during the Obama time and the primary fence was approved during the Obama years. That’s how slow the process is. Brooke Mueller attended ‘Eyes Wide Shut’-type sex parties in the Hamptons
Charlie Sheen‘s off-the-rails ex Brooke Mueller described how she attended an “’Eyes Wide Shut’-type” sex party in the Hamptons after she showed up with “suitcases full of drugs,” a new audiotape reveals. The back-on-drugs Mueller, 41, slurs her words on the explosive audiotape — in which she asks to score crystal meth, cocaine and “black tar” heroin — and tells how she and a mystery “married man” watched anonymous naked people indulge in sex acts in a scene like one from the 1999 Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman erotic drama “Eyes Wide Shut.” In the exclusive audiotape from the early hours of July 15, Mueller is heard saying, “It was an ‘Eyes Wide Shut’ type of party … in the Hamptons, there’s a party here. It’s after-hours, actually but it was really cool … sex … like.” see also Brooke Mueller slurs her words while trying to score 'black tar' heroin She adds, “But you don’t have to have sex, just naked people walking round. It’s really cool. I ran from it last time. I wasn’t expecting it, but this time I watched it. I didn’t know it happens, but it’s really f—ing different. Yeah, it happens — we’re hitting one tonight in Queens.” When asked about whom she was traveling to the party with, she added, “He’s just my friend, he’s not even my boyfriend … he’s married. I know, I feel evil, but I can’t help it … We didn’t even hook up, but it’s kind of fun, but anyway … but I don’t want anyone to know, you know?” (More at link...) View Quote |

How fucking convenient. Jeffrey Epstein, pedophile provider to the DC and Hollywood elites, found dead in his jail cell from apparent suicide.
Fox News link Disgraced multimillionaire Jeffrey Epstein, who was accused of sexually abusing dozens of underage girls, was found dead early Saturday morning inside his Manhattan jail cell. The 66-year-old Epstein died at the Metropolitan Correctional Center in New York City weeks after he was arrested of multiple child sex-trafficking charges, sources confirmed to Fox News. An FDNY source told Fox News that he was transported out of the prison around 6:30 a.m. New York Downtown and was dead on arrival. The initial call to the jail was cardiac arrest. There was no immediate confirmation on how he died, but multiple reports said Epstein died by suicide. Epstein's attorney Martin Weinberg told Fox News on Saturday that he could not "confirm the rumor" that his client had killed himself. JEFFREY EPSTEIN PLEADS NOT GUILTY AFTER SEX TRAFFICKING ARREST The death comes two weeks after the 66-year-old was placed on suicide watch after he was found nearly unconscious in his cell with injuries to his neck. Epstein's death also comes a day after thousands of documents were unsealed Friday in connection with a defamation cause against his alleged recruiter that revealed dozens of high-profile names including former Maine Sen. George Mitchell, ex-New Mexico Gov. Bill Richardson and Prince Andrew, Duke of York. Woman accuses Jeffrey Epstein of keeping her as a sex slave Epstein was busted July 6 over the alleged sexual abuse of dozens of young girls in his Upper East Side townhouse and his waterfront mansion in Palm Beach, Florida between 2002 and 2005 Epstein allegedly created and maintained a “vast network” and operation from 2002 “up to and including” at least 2005 that enabled him to “sexually exploit and abuse dozens of underage girls” in addition to paying victims to recruit other underage girls. Prosecutors said that victims would be escorted to a room with a massage table where they would perform massages on Epstein. At the time of Epstein's arrest, prosecutors said they found a trove of pictures of nude and seminude young women and girls at his $77 million Manhattan mansion. They also say additional victims have come forward since the arrest. He has pleaded not guilty and faced up to 45 years in prison if convicted. Fox News' Bryan Llenas, Robert Gearty, Brooke Singman, Travis Fedschun contributed to this report. This is a developing story. Check back for updates |

The up-side on Epstein is that he will not be in court, spewing BS about Trump during the height of the General election. With SDNY involved with his arrest, in my mind it was about a 50-50 toss-up between being arrested to get him on ice v. insurance policy number two, by the DOJ. With his "untimely departure" I am pretty well convinced that what he knew and about whom far outweighed the need to get Trump out of office, for some folks.

I posted this in the Epstein suicide thread, and will do so here to explain how "suicide watch" works:
As much as I want to believe the whole "suicide" is shady as fuck, Occam's Razor says he offed himself. It is my understanding that he was no longer on suicide watch, and was placed into a regular cell by himself. I don't know how a federal lockup works, but I have worked in a jail setting for nearly twenty years, so I figure their operations are fairly similar to ours. Here is a breakdown of the difference between suicide watch and regular housing: First - Suicide Watch. Inmate makes a suicidal statement or action. He is removed from his cell, clothing is taken, and he is given a "horse blanket," or a thick quilted gown that is nearly impossible to use to strangle one's self. No other sheets or clothing are permitted. Inmate is placed into a "padded" cell (ours has hard rubber on all surfaces). There are no protrusions that can be used to secure a noose. There is a camera that can see all the inside of the cell, and there is a microphone in the cell. There is a grate in the floor for the inmate to shit and piss into. It is flushed by a button on the outside of the cell. Jail deputies visually check on the inmate twice every 30 minutes. The camera monitor is outside the cell, and a deputy never leaves the area (they are relieved by other deputies for piss breaks, etc.). Inmate can remain in the cell for up to 48 hours. If they are cleared by mental health staff, then they are given new jail-issued clothing and returned to a regular jail cell. Mental health staff will follow-up with the inmate over the next several days. Our jail system is a bit unique in that we have "step down" housing for suicidal or crazy inmates. We have deputies who have received additional training and are permanently assigned to the "step down" housing. In addition, each cell has a camera in it, and one staff member in the control pod is assigned solely to watch the monitors. If they are not cleared, they are sent to a hospital which has a designated floor just for jail and state prison inmates. The inmate is given a paper suit and a thin foam mattress to keep on the bare concrete floor. A hospital medical staff member sits outside the secured door and observes the inmate 24/7. Inmates can stay in the hospital for several weeks to undergo this type of observation if they are not cleared by hospital mental health staff. Next - Regular jail cells Most jail cells do not have a camera inside the cell. Some of ours do, but only for our nutjob crazy inmates. There are cameras in the areas outside their cells (we call it a "dayroom"), where there are metal tables, payphones, showers, and a sink. When inmates are not in the dayroom area, they are inside their cell. Jail deputies physically look into each cell at least once an hour to make sure the inmates are still breathing and haven't dug a tunnel. Inmates with child sex charges, snitches, and gang dropouts are kept separate from General Population inmates. These inmates are either kept in Protective Custody (housed with other inmates with similar charges) or may be placed into Administrative Housing. Ad-Housing inmates are almost always kept in a cell by themselves. Hopefully this clears things up regarding if he was on suicide watch or had been cleared to return to a regular cell. If he was truly on suicide watch, there is no way on God's green earth he should have been able to off himself. If he was in a regular cell, though, it is far more plausible. |
