Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - CAR15 length

I want to get a Pelican case for my CAR 15 and was wondering what the total length of the weapon is w/ the tele-stock collapsed.  I can't measure it b/c I am presently at school about 150 miles from my rifle.

i'd say 35" (to be safe) if you have a 16" bbl with a f/s and a1 style car stock.  figure a 6551 is 40", the car barrel saves you 3" and the stock saves another 3"ish collapsed - you get 34".  if you have the new style car stock then add 1".

hope this helps!  or if you can fit the sucker in at an angle you could go shorter - but you would need to know width.
