I agree w/ 2 out of 3 of his opinions.
Still a good dude that I'd want to party with. |

So if he's wrong, then your position is that the last 50 years of the WoD has been nothing but a success, the trillions of dollars we have spent have been well used / drastically reduced drug consumption, and that there isn't a 100 billion dollar a year black market created by these very policies that fuel most of the drug related violence? LOL right...he's way off the mark here. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted:

I agree with him on all points. He's a well known libertarian, and has purposely worn a Gadsden Flag shirt in scenes of his films.
From what I gather, it could be true, goes along with various interviews he has done in the past
Pretty basic libertarian views. Cant really fault that line of thinking even on Snowden. Yeah. Committing treason against a government organization violating our civil rights. |
Don't know whether or not he said it, but I agree with the sentiment of every one of those statements.
Snowden gave secrets to the Chinese and the Russians.
War plans and military capabilities. Anyone who celebrates him is a traitor. |
#1 Agree
#2 If he had said it should be the peoples' choice I would have agreed. But to say we should not do it because we are losing, I don't agree. 3# Agree |

I can believe his stance on gun control.
Rumor has it him and Colin Farrell nearly went hands on about guns on True Detective. Colin said Americans were daft for having so many guns and Vince took offense. |
Of course it's him.
Dude went from Wedding Crashers to wierd ass action films. Either he needs to pay the taxman or he's been essentially black balled by liberal Hollywood.. |

Libertarians are like the kids that small like pee in grade school.

1. I agree with the sentiment but I'm not sure that's what Snowden did. Legit whistleblowers aren't traitors, but Snowden may be, haven't paid enough attention to that story.
2. Agree, prohibition makes matters worse. People love to blame the drugs but it's really a sickness of the soul that drives people to self-destruct. Hopelessness, an inability to cope, understandable or not. We'll never win the war by trying to crack down on vice rather than building a healthy citizenry, and most everyone bears responsibility for the sickness of our society, both of the dominant worldviews in the US are maladaptive. 3. Agree, obviously. Vaughn seems like a good guy in general, I'm sure we'd get along. |
I hope he did say all 3. The more public figures that see shit for what it actually is, the better.

Here's the complete conversation, yes he said all three:
Vince Vaughn biography "I support people having a gun in public full stop, not just in your home. We don't have the right to bear arms because of burglars; we have the right to bear arms to resist the supreme power of a corrupt and abusive government. It's not about duck hunting; it's about the ability of the individual. It's the same reason we have freedom of speech. It's well known that the greatest defence against an intruder is the sound of a gun hammer being pulled back. All these gun shootings that have gone down in America since 1950, only one or maybe two have happened in non-gun-free zones. Take mass shootings. They've only happened in places that don't allow guns. These people are sick in the head and are going to kill innocent people. They are looking to slaughter defenceless human beings. They do not want confrontation. In all of our schools it is illegal to have guns on campus, so again and again these guys go and shoot up these… schools because they know there are no guns there. They are monsters killing six-year-olds… Banning guns is like banning forks in an attempt to stop making people fat. Taking away guns, taking away drugs, the booze, it won't rid the world of criminality." Jonathan Heaf, "True Detective's Vince Vaughn on Gun Control, Edward Snowden and Comedy," www.gq-magazine.co.uk, June 1, 2015 A-Z Quotes - Vince Vaughn A-Z Quotes - Vince Vaughn on firearm ownership I agree with him with regards to guns, and he has a valid point about drugs still being freely available. |

I liked him in Dragged Across Concrete and Brawl in Cell Block 99

I like him more now knowing he said those three things. I agree with all of them.

illegal drugs make cartels money and make criminals out of people. The stereotypical thieving drug addict is trying to get money to pay for outrageously marked up drug prices due to scarcity of that product. Without them being illegal, they’d be comparable to over the counter generic drugs. No one is mugging someone to afford their laxatives. The drugs don’t turn people into addicts, they are looking for an escape or a “good time” and being legal or illegal doesn’t matter. They will be a drunk, they will drink cough syrup, they’ll order barrels of fentynal from China using bitcoin, or they’ll walk on sunshine by huffing computer dusters. At least if drugs were legal, we could free up billions of dollars (if not trillions) and make cartels and other crime organizations have to make money in other ways like selling counterfeit beanie babies on eBay or flood the market with H&K auto sears.

I like how he talks about politicians kids being protected by guns while they are at school. I’m sure most of the Hollywood elite types have the same type of protection for their children as well . Meanwhile politicians and Actors/actresses act ( pun intended) outraged when average Americans want to discuss options for their children’s safety while in school . Double standard all the way , good for mine , not for yours .

Don't know if he said that or not, but he is a self admitted Libertarian.

I don’t know enough about what Snowden to know if I agree.
I completely agree with the other 2 points. |
"And we should be allowed the same rights. Banning guns is like banning
FIFVV (fixed it for vince Vaughn) I do agree though on all 3 |
