It's virtue signaling, there is no way for these 11 million people who live in cordoned off cities in China to actually get themselves to Sweden.

If China wanted to troll though they'd start running transport aircraft back and forth until the Swedes called foul.

This decision means that Uighurs who are here can claim persecution in China. Deportations of Uighur asylum seekers were halted last year awaiting a decision.

It doesn’t mean that they automatically get asylum, just that they may claim persecution as a reason.

It also only applies to people who seek asylum in this country, not from China or an embassy. They have to be here physically to do it.
