Quoted: Quoted: I am post here using a proxy from www.stayinvisible.com It is slow but it works. dave Damn Dave I looked at that , it may conceal your identity but it opens you up to hacking. Not a good thing. I just used it to see if it wwould work or not. I don't ever use a proxy myself, I have a hardware firewall to protect my network. still no hacks/viri, knock on wood..... |

Quoted: Is there any way to shield your IP address from a website when you visit it? In a nutshell, when you visit a site, it has to know the IP address where to send the data. As has been mentioned, if you don't want your IP address known...then you'd use a proxy of some sort and then the web site will send the data to that computer.
