I have a HK P7 with a bit of holster wear etc. It is a carry gun so I don't want to just go for a factory reblue.

I figure a grey park would make a very durable carry gun finish and would look nice on the P7 offset with black grips.

Who does a decent job on these?

While I have never had anything parkerized, I have had Lauer do other work and have been very happy with them.

I was going to suggest Arizona Response Systems; they will parkerize, but I suggest their Metacol III finish:

On second thought, though, just send it to me and I'll take care of it. Might take me a few years to completely wear off the old finish, though.

I would be concerned that the parkerizing might clog up the gasport. That is unless they pull the barrel from the frame first with is a major PITA. I would talk to Mark Graham and see what he says, last I heard he is the only HK authorized refinisher in the states.

Another vote for Robar but I would decline the parkerizing option, IMO.

Looked at the Np3 but don't want anything as dressy as a satin grey finish for a carry gun.

Looked at ARS and the Metacol III finish on the P7 and I think we have a winner.

The biggest issue I've found in getting anything done is how long it take to get your gun back.
