I'm not working right now haven't been since the 14th of last month. I'm on 30 days PCS leave. I'm kind of getting tired of doing nothing but picking up the kids from school or going to Barnes & Nobles.
This used to be my job  I'm on the left waiting to rip on the twin .50 I start my new job as salesmen next week. "Go Navy - sign here"  I'm excited....So who else is not working and bummin' it. So I got up this morning at 0555 and ran 3 miles. Now I guess I'm going to clean my Mossberg 500. Wash dishes. Then watch TV or read. |

At least now you get to see the kids and goto B&N. 30 days? Don't worry it will end all too soon. Enjoy it while you can. |

No, you're not alone. I reopened my shop a month or so ago and have about zero business right now. However, like you, I will soon enough be busy as a one-armed paperhanger. I'm trying to savor the downtime (8 hrs a day in the office bangin away on the DSL line) and ignore the still-quiet voice that says "a man oughta be brining in some money."

I'm bumming it too, since I was laid off on Thursday (4th).
I have already recieved one "sorry we aren't hiring at this time" notice. So far thats 50% turned down resumés. BISHOP |

You've got one week off before you start up work and you're getting up before 6 to run and break down your weapons and clean them! [:o] It's only a week off, relax.

After 4 months of unemployment I start a new job tomorrow morning -- been too long in comming but I cant wait to get started.

I'm disabled and haven't been able to work for a long time. I try every now and then to work because I can't stand it, but end up in the hospital every time. Finally I get THE surgery to fix the back. Dec. 17 my back will be fixed![bounce]
Then a quick 3-6 week recovery period, and it's off to the workplace. [:D] |
