@straightmiataman
OP, If you have not yet bought the ryker ankle first aid kit(afak), you should consider and research the SFD Responder 2.0. Also, since you plan to have celox gauze, why not switch out your regular gauze for an H&H mini compression dresssing 0.5”x4”x4”?
https://saferfasterdefense.com/product/sfd-responder/

Thank you for this thread! It helped me realize the benefit of having an small ifak on me as part of my edc instead of relying on my bulky bleeding control kit (which typically stays in my vehicle or range bag).

For contents of my future afak with the SFD responder 2.0 I am leaning toward:
SOFTT-W
Chitogauze XR pro- 0.5” thick
H&H mini compression dresssing 0.5” thick
Pair halo vent/no vent chest seal- will fold for storage
Npa 22fr - 7mm width good for both Males or Females
Gloves
From Rescue-essentials.com due to their reasonable prices.
Estimated total cost is $175 assuming free shipping.

Dark angel medical also has a similiar afak

I'll have to look into the compression wrap, I figured gauze would be more versatile but that may be a good exchange.

One of the things for me with the ryker is that it I cludes a velcro extension for boots, which I wear pretty often with motorcycling. So being able to strap it on even with my boots instead of relocating it is a big plus for me.

I don’t want to lean down because he might use my CCW badge to choke me.

Save him?

I'd be too busy trying to come up with an explanation for the contact burns on the middle of his forehead.

No. I'm too busy stripping and making sure my gun is fully disassembled before LEO arrives and shoots me too.

So edgy..

Yes, with due caution.  Flex cuffs are cheap, so are gloves and IFAK's.  Depending on where you live, EMS isn't always just minutes away

Riding boots are much, much thicker.

And those are some of the slimmer ones I'd wear.

This video is older, but the security guard certainly didn't seem to give 2 shits if the would be robbers lived. I think the exact quote was "I don't give a fuck if you die here right now". Ended up just fine for him.

One thing to consider, the security guard in that video is properly color coordinated with the the criminals.

Insert me into that video, taking the same actions, saying the same things... I could easily see me getting indicted. At the very least, the push would be on to destroy my life.

And why would my attacker still be alive?

If preforming aid on another aren't you suppose to use their supplies.
You wouldn't put your gear on them.
This is from self aid buddy care and chem warfare training.

Nope.
If it doesn't happen on my property, and if there are no cameras, I'm not even sticking around.

Bingo.   Scene safety  and all that.

And I have a legal duty to respond.  As such  even once cuffed, I probably wouldn't do anything.
