I ate one of their 2/3 pound gut bombs yesterday at noon. Man was I full. I wasn't even hungry for supper. I don't see how Mc'Donalds or Burger King can compete now because their burgers are so wimpy. Now if Hardee's improves on their fries they'll have it all sewed up.

I had one while I was in Waco - much better than the Hardee's I remember. I haven't seen a Hardee's around these parts in probably 15 years.

It's so weird that it's called Hardee's over there. Here it is Carl's JR. Same place, just different name.

I never ate anything at Hardee's besides the breakfast biscuits, but I tried the Thickburger, and it is a damned fine hamburger. Other than the Krystal (which is an acquired taste), it's probably the best fast food burger out there.

Hardees was bought by CKE a few years ago and there is talk of calling all of them "Hardees Star".

Carl's Jr. Is the best damn fast food joint around!!!

Whataburger is awesome. I had it when I went down to Gunstock. I really wish they were here, I'll have to see if the local Hardee's is any good. They did have a good chicken sandwich a while back.

Until Carl's Jr. bought out Hardee's, their breakfast biscuits were the only thing keeping them open.

The new burgers are about as good as you can get from fast food.

The Hardee's here closed, turned briefly in to a RAX then closed for good.
I can easily see why too, both with the same manager, once I got a white tomato with the big brown stem on it, another time I bit into their biggest burger only to find no patty!
Besides that, one should not have to swat flies while eating...good riddance!
That Carl's Jr. looks yummy! Bring it on!

I had a Whataburgerin Las Cruses NM. Awesome burgers. The new Hardees burgers are good too. None of them can stand up to my homemade bacon cheeseburgers though. They kick ass.

I work just up the street from a Hardees, and just 30 miles or so from the original Hardees and the Corp. offices. Hardees has come a looooong way just in the last 3 years. They gone from mule burgers, to horse burgers, to I think they are actually using cow now. McD's is still using earthworms, and BK is using people kidnapped from the million madre march. Maybe we got it good here cuz we can just go kick the corporate suits ass if it sucks too bad, and they know we can. Wendy's fries taste like eggs.

Didn't Hardees get busted several years ago for selling kangaroo meat? I seem to remember something about this. It could have been one of the other burger joints.

Many-many moons ago, Hardees cooked over charcoal.  Remember?  Remember the big stainless steel ash cans out back?  Just about any meat-like substance is pretty good cooked over charcoal.

I could care less about how big the burgers are. Every fast food place I go to has some superdeal that gives you Large everything for a cheaper price.

I think their goal is to fatten everyone up so they will eat more of their garbage. When I go through a drive through and just want to purchase a small drink, fry’s, burger I damn near have to cuss them out to keep from getting biggie meals and super extra large portions of shit I should not be eating to begin with.

And what’s with the no "small" drinks anymore? How the hell can you have a medium and a large if you don’t have a small?

This is something I don't "get" either.

They have a Medium, Large, and Extra-Large.

It should be Small, Medium, Large. But they try to mislead people into thinking they're getting more.
