I've always had questions about how someone who claims to support the 2nd amendment with a proclaimation of membership, and as an instructor, could want a clinton presidency and its associated assault weapons ban, over having someone like Trump

My view is that the original intent of the operation was to dirty Trump up so they would have some kind of October surprise. They had multiple angles (Billy Bush tape, parade of women) but this was to cover up for the fact that they got caught in the FISA system searching a bit too hard and Rogers did the right and legal thing and investigated it. They were literally working against the clock to get some kind of FISA warrant against someone associated with Trump before Roger's report was completed. Rogers report was completed the same day as the FISA warrant being approved by the FISC. Not long after Rogers went to the FISC with his findings and literally cut off part of other agencies access to the system. If Hillary had won Rogers would have filed his report with the FISC but no one would have cared. The entire thing would have faded away. No one would have renewed the warrant because Hillary would be in office and any claims of FISA abuse, spying, etc. would simply be ignored by the media and the powers that be. Glenn Simpson's testimony in 2017 is telling in that he says they were done with the Perkins Coie contract after election day. Only a week later Dianne Feinstein gives up her position on the Senate Intel committee to Mark Warner...and Dan Jones, her staffer, takes over the Fusion GPS contract and running the operation against Trump. There had to be a lot of bricks shit the night Trump won. |
