Blues Brothers 2000 was a level of concentrated awful that it has never been seen before or since. It was so awful that nearly everyone has repressed the memory of it.

Um, Highlander 2. Thread. View Quote Not even close. You have to start off with an original movie that is truly great, in order to have the most disappointing sequel of all time. Highlander doesn't pass that sniff test. Highlander is a good movie. Highland is not a great movie. |

Robocop and Highlander are both pretty well tied for shitty sequels.

When a movie starts off with a naked man doing his morning Karate workout.......that's a clue that it's going to suck.

'More American Graffiti' was terrible. American Graffiti was classic top 5 cinema and lightning in a bottle. They should have left it alone.

Of course I noticed them, it's just that they're quite easy to ignore. Lethal Weapon 3 is a little more in your face with it, since "deadly guns with deadly cop-killer ammunition in the hands of teens" is the whole plot of the movie. Murtaugh even kills a "my baby dindu nuffin!" type. View Quote Not Kingdom of the Crystal Skull/The Force Awakens/Star Wars: SJW Edition but... Also [flamesuit]The Temple of Doom sucked pretty bad even though RotLA and TLC were masterpieces [/flamesuit] |

LOL - why didnt the airplanes go land at one of the 100's of other airports on the east coast? Some are literally within the glideslope of a Dullus holding pattern Nope, they just kept orbitting, running out of gas and crashing. When i realized that, it killed the movie for me. Action and acting is good, otherwise, IMO View Quote ETA-kinda brings up another plot hole. The operation that probably took weeks if not months to plan relies on having planes in the air to hold hostage. If there was no blizzard shutting down other airports, they could have just said to the aircraft "Hey, head toward the nearest available airport, we got terrorist up in this bitch" |
|
Whaaaaaaaaaat? Its obviously not as great as the first one but it wasnt that bad. It was kind of more or less the same shit except with airplanes / airport
Die Hard 1 - Amazing Die Hard 2 - Great action movie Die Hard 3 - Decent, edgy action movie Die Hard 4 - Something new, not bad Die Hard 5 - Garbage. |

Matrix Reloaded & Matrix Revolutions There is absolutely nothing wrong with Die Hard 2, it's a perfectly acceptable action movie. View Quote There's lots of shitty sequels out there, but the matrix sequels are so bad they actually changed my mind about the original movie. When I saw the Matrix I thought it had depth, I thought it was brilliant really, when I saw the sequels I realized I'd given the producers way too much credit. |

DH3 with Sam Jackson's character fucking up the whole movie is painful to watch. Same as DH4 with the whiny millennial.
DH5 was much better imho just because the other main character wasn't a whiny cunt. I don't want to listen to whiny cunts during my action movies. I want to see gun porn and shit blowing up. I don't need SJW or politics in my action movies. This is what John Wick has figured out. Side characters that have dialogue like Ian McShane are how you do it. And any whiny character getting punched or shot in the face. That's how you make an action movie. This is also what the purge series is slowly realizing. By the time they make the 10th purge movie it might be halfway decent. Such an entertaining concept wasted on the political bullshit. |

Star Wars episodes 1-3 as sequel-prequels to episode 6.
I liked Die Hard 2 |

Here's the thing about the Die Hard movies (Kinda stealing from Michael Scott from the office).
The original, he was a regular cop caught in extraordinary circumstances but how he got through was relatively believable. There was never really any super over the top situation where you think "No way he'd survive that". #2 kinda kept to that but stretched it a bit more (ejection seat/grenades, tossed from a moving plane etc) By #3 he's getting launched into the air several stories without injury (aqueduct scene), then falling several stories onto a ship's deck still functioning, surviving a ship exploding and making an impossible shot with a shitty revolver/ammo. |

I actually paid money to see that glistening turd in the theater.

Yes. Superman II. http://images4.static-bluray.com/reviews/305_4.jpg Best of the Best 3 was awful. I was an extra in it. LOL. Gina Gershon is pretty in real life too. I was about 15 yards away from her in one of the scenes. She's very short in stature. I rented the movie after it came out. I spent 8 hours in two different scenes. It looked like most of it made it to the cutting room floor except for maybe 5 minutes from one scene and 3 minutes from another. Think about it, it took about 4 hours for one scene and it got cut down to 5 minutes. After they got one take from one angle down, then move the movie camera, and its tracks. Then, when it got all set up, the re-taped the whole scene. Repeat that for every different angle. They spent some time of the good guy sitting. Then, taking the same sitting pose from another angle. It was all very interesting. I got paid and ended up seeing myself in one scene for 2 seconds and I was blurry. https://iscfc.files.wordpress.com/2015/02/best-of-the-best-3-no-turning-back-movie-poster-1995-1020210977.jpg View Quote Does The Pacific count? Agreed with OP... Die Hard 1 was an immortal classic.... Die Hard 2 ... That "Glock 7" gun-grabber fiction was laughable... and I've been to Dulles airport and that shit wasn't Dulles airport... not even close.

Sequel to Boondock Saints View Quote The Boondock Saints 2: All Saints Day Eunice Bloom The only redeeming scene in the film was Julie Benz’s character’s introduction.... And then she opened up her mouth and started speaking. If you can’t fake a southern accent convincingly, just don’t even try. She’s a babe, though. |

Ghost busters 2 Which it's failure us directly responsible for the franchise ending never to reunite the original actors and producing the all women version View Quote Caddyshack 2 gets mentioned but it holds up far better than say meatballs 2. I'd say The Dark Knight Rises is another very good example of a disappointing sequel. The first two movies were very good then they trashed the entire story. |

Smoky & The Bandit 2 is pretty horrible.
Grafitti Bridge is something pretty remarkably horrific, if you at all appreciated Purple Rain. Let's see... Conan The Destroyer....turned awesome into a farce. Dumb And Dumberer Grease 2 anyone? Well, wait, it's got a very young Michelle Pfeifer, that may actually save it. Be Cool (Get Shorty 2). Putrid. Son of the Mask. Oy. |

Predator 2 was worse in relation to the first moreso than Die Hard 2 compared to Die hard. Die Hard 2 was okay. It was fine. It was just alright. It wasn't horrible but clearly nothing close to the original. Lethal Weapon 2 was pretty good. Die Hard and :ethal weapon are the movies that made me wasnt a Beretta 92 early on. Never ended up getting one but I will one day. I remember going nuts over the Lethal Weapon 4 Beretta that Riggs carried with the grip laser.
