Details:
Soldiers fighting a losing battle. They make it back to their ship, ship takes off but is damaged. One soldier survives, in stasis, and gets stuck in a debrief loop and is found several decades later. Soldiers have armor. Stories crop up that their armor has been 'infected' with an organism. This turns out to be true and the surviving soldier comes to a sort of terms with the 'possessed' armor. Any questions? Perhaps they'll jog my memory. |

I vaguely remember that book, can't remember the name though.
