In 05 and 07/08 I was a DOD security contractor.
In 05 guys would jump from company to company like it was cool. Back then everyone knew someone working for almost every security company in Iraq. I knew guys that stayed in country for years and most had jumped from one company to another at least a few times and some went back to the ones they had worked for before. TC started getting big around late 05 I want to say. Like another poster stated they where lower key then BW but lots of BW guys went to TC. Its all about the $ but also getting on a good team and being able to trust your company not to leave you hanging in the wind and making sure they pay you on time...some companies had problems with the above. I had friends go to BW and TC and a few smaller companies but I liked what I was doing and back then. Companies where hiring everyone and anyone that had a good looking resume to fill contracts. It was the heyday of contracting and its completely different now days...vetting is much much better now. TC has from what I know had a good rep then and still does. They did take over BW contract for DOS I think and I think a lot of BW guys went to TC during that time. I think TC started getting contracts for Camp's and FOB's security in 08...may have been another company its been 9 years
