I'm looking at the cheaper ones in the $130-150  5000BTU range.  Reviews are all over the place.  Some people only seem to care that it works.

I'd like something as quiet as possible since this will be used in my box trailer, mostly only during the night.  I think I'd prefer analog controls so electronics failing isn't a possible issue.

I just bought one of THESE about 2 months ago and it has worked great. I'm really happy for the money as it was literally the cheapest window unit in the store but it has kept a room closer to 250 square feet cold enough to keep me comfortable.

I have one of those Frigidaire 5000 BTU units that has been running very well for five or six years.  Should work well for OP's purposes.  Also have an Arctic King of some sort that works well in a larger space, but has a digital control system.

I just bought a cheap one from Walmart 8K BTU $150 or so.

Been using it in my bedroom at night since my central AC is going out.

Does great and I'll keep it to have around for when the power goes out and I run it on a generator.

What kind of central air unit do you run in your box trailer?

I've got a SoleusAir 8,000 btu in my bedroom that came from Menards and has been great for the past few years. They had 5k, 6500, 8k and 10k models. Not sure if they had a non-digital in the 5k. Between parents and family in the last 20 years we've all gotten window units for bedrooms (alll live in old non central air houses) and non have failed. I've replaced a couple that rusted out or gotten pretty moldy inside.

I have a couple of LG's. They work well. Get a bigger unit than you think you need. You can't  use the btu's that you didn't buy.
