So I took advantage of the fathers day and forth of July sales. One of the items I've been wanting to try is a Geissele ambi charging handle, one store had them on sale but they were back ordered. I figured I was in no hurry and if I could save $30 or more with the sale and free shipping why not.
So it's been a few weeks, don't remember the exact date I ordered, but I noticed the item was back in stock on their site three days ago. I waited to see if the shop was just overwhelmed from the holiday sales and playing catch up. So after three days I decided to call today and see if they were still tracking my order and I was told they just received the shipment? I asked why it's been shown as in stock for at least three days and was told the warehouse is still processing the orders. So I have to ask, who else buys back ordered items and whats the normal wait time before you deem the wait too long? Seeing that mine is now there I know it's only a few more days, but I was initially looking around other stores because I was about to cancel if I found it anyway at a close price. Has anyone waited a month or longer? How long after the shop gets the item in should I expect to still wait before calling and making a fuss? |
| Midway is the only large online place I've had anything backorded at. Seems like I waited months for Beowulf ammo or mags or something. Spikes once back ordered something for me and then shipped it a year later without charging me. That had to be some kind of glitch with their system. |
