I really want to order some fishing reels and have them custom engraved when they get here to give out.
All the Engrish is halarious on the pages though. |

Looked into it a while back... seems one of ... if not the only place to find components nowadays. When I was looking though... it seemed like personal addresses weren't really their thing and that I'd have to figure out how to pick stuff up from a warehouse at the literal docks.
Have they changed recently to be more direct to you? |

Air is typically more expensive than ocean. size, weight, etc all play a part. fishing reels in a 4' x 4' x 4' im probably letting an "express" carrier deliver to my doorstep and let it go through customs that way...shipping will probably be a few $100s to deliver. few heavy boxes or pallets im letting go through ocean waiting the 20 days to travel, devain, get to warehouse for me to pick up... Typically, express will include all costs, Ocean you will need to pay carrier, port, Customs, ISF bond, CFS warehouse, et al in addition to quote. Ask and clarify before payment |

At what point would you recommend I retain your services and not use UPS/FedEx etc? The port of Orleans is close by to me and I pass near it monthly if that makes a difference. |

Very little container frt goes into NOLA. It would go into the west coast. Since iit's small it would be in a consol box, be unloaded at an LA whse, and then trucked separately to NOLA from there, unless they shipped it straight to you from LA.
People just don't go waltzing into the ports. It would likely be cheaper for you to have the courier (Fedex, etc.) clear it. |

The 2nd time, I bought stuff from China, I had a import/export company at the Port of Mobile take care of everything. Fedex does offer full freight shipping from China to your address, can be pricey though. As mentioned, Aliexpress might be a better option here. Or see if a Korean company has what your looking for, not as cheap, but the process is much smoother. ETA: to Marie's info above, I've had orders trucked from the West Coast and orders go to the port of Mobile. I'm in Pensacola. |

Here is a order placing question.
I went to a item I liked and then went in and requested a quote. Then I went to messages and the quote was there with my message and the price of the item, albeit with out shipping. So, what Do I do next? Do I send another message asking for freight quotes? Or do I fill out the order, pay and then get the quotes then? Or do I wait for the seller to respond and then they will fill in all the info? I don;t expect to hear form them anytime soon as it's like 2AM in China right now. |
