Ok, so over the last few months a few buttons have popped off of my work pants, the thread they use seems to be a single strand of spider web due to how easily these buttons pop off.
My work uniforms are provided by work (I am charged every week for the service) and so we have a company that washes and fixes them. Every time a button pops off I return the pants with a repair ticket, but after the last 12 or so times sending them back, they never have a new button. So, I will leave it up to you guys to tell me how I should proceed. Throw the pants into one of our metal processing machines? Rip holes in the legs? Staple hundreds of repair tickets to them? It's up to Arfcom to decide how I deal with this. (Barring anything illegal) |

Also the other day I bent down and one of the buttons shot off of these pants with the same energy as a .380, which could seriously bruise someone. |

I know, I know, but hitting the gym isn't really the answer. It's a great way to stay in shape, which you should do but the way to lose weight is to eat less. Trust me, I figure this out on my own and was dismayed to learn it was a fact. You have to work your ass off to burn 400 calories. It's much easier to just watch your calorie intake.
When I was in the Air Force the saying was, take your weight and multiply it by 15. Whatever that number is, make sure you eat less calories than that number if you want to lose weight. At one point I got to 200 lbs. I realized I needed to cut my caloric intake down from 3,000 to 1,500 for awhile to get back down to 165 lbs. It worked. |
| Well, you could always reinforce the stitching on the pants buttons. Basically, you sew the thread through the button holes, through the pants, and then back through. This way, the button won't come off. Usually when I do this, the pants will wear out before the button pops off. |
