| Anyone just see that guy flip his car running from the police and come out with his baby in his hands, then tries to fight the cop? Pretty intense. |

Anyone just see that guy flip his car running from the police and come out with his baby in his hands, then tries to fight the cop? Pretty intense. Yep. Crazy. When they were fighting on the ground the bad guy went into his pocket and I thought he was coming out of it with a knife or something. |

What department was it? I live in Richland County SC but dont have cable. As far as the media not intervening, that's a pretty crappy excuse to say you're only there to observe. If that cop was getting pummeled and really needed help, most citizens would step in to help regardless. I would like to think live pd crew would do the same, even though their official statement is that of an observer. |

Cop is lucky the perp didn't have a weapon in that pocket. Did the deputy not have a taser or some other compliance tool?
Of course it's not the perp's fault and the ghetto trash come out of the woodwork to document the event in vertical video and harass the arresting officers. |

Deputy Mastriani's backup was about 60 seconds too late. There was some serious community organizing taking place already... One guy got within a few feet of helping the BG when backup finally arrived. Tough situation as Mastriani jumped out without relaying his location I think and then was involved from that point on. I think someone from the camera crew must've called their location in. The camera lady did make a lunge at one point for the child but then pulled back.
Super close to to having a shit sandwich a few different times. Man I was furious watching that. |

Not surprised at all with the race of people watching and filming with their cell phones. |

He repeated asked the cameraman to help. They just kept filming. Glad he didn't have weapon in his left pocket.... |

if ever there was a time to choke someone out, this was one of 'em
i still can't figure out how he got out of that truck so quick with the kid in his arms, being upside down and all.. what a dirt bag i knew it wasn't going to happen, but i was half hoping to hear the camera guy yell TASER TASER TASER and pop that motherfucker |
|
It was obviously racist of the police to steal his baby away from him. Really that dude screaming about racist cops this and that is the end result of what the left has been doing for 8 solid years. I realize how they want to keep the ghettos so they can mobilize an Army.
Everytime I hear that taxes need to be raised for schools I think about how no one says that for cops. America's last line of defense. |

We watch Live PD when it airs live almost every time. Watching live you don't see the edits like Cops or other shows, wife and I have witnessed some oh shit moments.
She repeatedly states she is glad she retired after 30 years of service, being LEO now a days is a super shit sammich. |

Intense for sure. Deputy did a great job.
Near the end when the guy was still fighting and the Deputy was exhausted... I started thinking it may be time to shoot him. There comes a point where you fear this guy is going to take your firearm and shoot you with it. And that POS ran because he had a warrant. Except he DIDN'T have any warrants. He was sobbing when he found out there was no reason to run.. because.. you know.. no need to cry about almost killing your kid. Completely self-centered POS. His concern for the vehicle was also messed up. I am sure grandma will be raising his kids. |

I lived two blocks from there back when I was in grad school (10yrs ago). A few observations :
1) that is not a nice area, even though there are two seminaries and Columbia College near by. 2) the chase had entered Columbia city limits. CPD had a station 1 block from the wreck at Monticello and Main. It was the last big turn before the wreck. Somehow CPD failed even though location and "notify CPD we are headed into town" was relayed by deputy. 3) seeing all the locals tells me it's probably already on whirls tar! 4) the producer on scene did grab the little girl til backup arrived. |
