Guess you get what you pay for on a free account. All of my embedded photos, equipment exchange ads, etc, are now without images unless I want to pay up for account upgrades. Nice. With no warning that I'm aware of.

I need an alternative site . I have pictures of a guys fake Mauser sniper rifle . I need to host them elsewhere as well as my few ad pictures.

I just right clicked and got the pics location, put it in the tags arfcom makes. Seems ok so far

Yeah..you can't even creep recents with adblocker software anymore. The site is so inundated with ad's it's unsuable.

I have 1000's of photo's I need to download, thumb, etc.

I hope this is the end for them.

I even considered paying to use them if it got rid of the ads. But with their past history of complete fuck ups and not being able to access, not taking the chance. I guess I'll start pulling my images and close out my account.

photobucket is totally unusable lately. It will lock up every browser i try to aces it with. I have a ton of stuff on mine too. But i think ive backed up a bunch of it. Sucks for a ton of build threads ive down out there that have photos documenting them hosted on photobucket. Like tears in rain...

This. Their shitty app kept uploading my entire photo folder over and over and over a few years ago. I quit using them back then.

This is the only place I post hosted photos so GB fixed that problem for me.

Tinypic has served me well for over a decade. Make a free account. Create a few directories, upload your photos, and it gives you a URL that seems to work well for me.

Heh, I do recall a few years ago one AR15.com member had his tiny.pic URL that he linked into AR15.com mysteriously turn into a URL for naughty images of two male dudes without cloths on engaging in activity - that the claim was that tiny pic expired his image URL and someone replaced it with that. Only ever happened to him though, no one else. Very mysterious. None of mine ever did that. Here are images that have been stale for like.. 8+ years, they still seem to work.

Photobucket has sucked for a long time. This just forced me to download my photos and quit the app.

Now looking for another hosting service. I use FLICKR for my nicest photos, but not for the kind of photos I normally post here.

Can you host off facebook?
Post a photo to your facebook, then link to it. If you set up an account and have no friends(set it up so no one can view your page unless they are friended, you can host images like a host server.

You need the link without the title in it. The link you seek usually has "i.imgur....." to find this, view the image, tap on it again, then hit share and copy link. If you forget the "tap on it again" step you'll get the bad link that has the title in it.
