Do you all have two resume's.. one to upload, designed so that the resume converter on the companies website does not butcher it, and one pretty one for the interview?

It is seeming like that is the way to go these days.

Normally when you upload a more classic looking resume, you just have to tweak it a bit to make it look nice after the converter jacked it up.. but if you use any of the newfangled resume styles....oh man it JACKS it up... and some company job sites dont let you edit it.

Last time i was sending out resumes each company got a unique version. I have done a lot of shit. I have to be selective what i put on based on company and position.

Yes.. that is for any job.. but I am talking two different formats of the same resume for the same job.. one to upload that gets converted to plain text on their job application website and a pretty one you print out to hand them when you get there.

I suggest you have like 15 resumes, all customized for each type of job you're applying for.

But yes, I HATE those converters.

Oh, you mean like a Word document converted to plain text losing formatting. Got ya. I think i just copy-pasted sections.

Yes - word/pdf versions of the real deal and a .txt file of plain text that won't get mangled when uploaded into a potential employer's system.

Same here.  But the wife just did one where it did not let you edit anything after you uploaded it.. I dont know if it had a manual entry section though. most do.

I mean, I have 2 phones(one for the bitches and one for the dough), so why not have two resumes?

Cool.. so I came to the right conclusion by telling her to just make a straight up old school plain text version for upload.

The wife is looking to move upward, but where she is at..upward requires someone to die or retire, so she is applying for jobs elsewhere.

I had two. One for complete C.V.s and the other a biosketch for grant applications.
