I wish I had not been paranoid and bought some of the solvent trap kits that were online a while back. There were some really well done cups and tubes until the atf started cracking down. I bet those same websites will be up for business right away if this passes, with a bunch of product to sell.
There will be plenty of options if this goes through. |

Online forms are nice. Emails are nice.
But pick up the phone and CALL your congress critters; especially if they are too old to care about online forms and emails. |

Gabby Gifford's group, Americans for Responsible Solutions, sent out an email today saying some moderate Republicans aka RINOs are wavering on the bill. I know gun controllers are a bunch of lying bastards but it is time to remind the RINOs just who brung'em to the dance.

I'm genuinely afraid of what I will do to my savings should this pass...
Not counting threading jobs, I can name at least five suppressors I'll need assuming I don't share them amongst each other... Like a 1022 with integral barrel suppressor.... |

10.5 inch to 11.5 inch AR uppers with pinned and welded suppressors (long enough to get the total barrel length over 16 inches). No NFA tax for an SBR, but the same length as an SBR with suppressor (just can't remove the suppressor to make it even smaller). 5.56mm 9mm .300 BO 7.62x25 Tok 6.8 SPC That will get me started. Remember, if your senators and congressmen don't have a restraining order against you, you aren't calling/emailing them often enough.

This should be pinned! Or a new thread with the specifics, at least, should be at the top.

Just emailed all my reps.
I've previously called, when it just came out of committee. |

"The Sportsmen’s Heritage and Recreational Enhancement Act, or SHARE Act, only has five sponsors and was introduced at the beginning of the month but was marked up by the House Committee on Natural Resources and discharged by five others last week sending it to the floor. Politico’s John Bresnahan reports the measure could be voted on as early as this week and is expected to pass."

This is really important, could we get this tacked or something?

I've been contacting Democrat Reps from Hawaii to Massachusetts.
Be very polite. Remember the name of the person you speak with and compliment them genuinely, don't be fake. I spoke to some very friendly staffers and aides, most of them female. Explain to them that the suppressor provisions under the NFA weren't even allowed for debate in Congress in 1934, and the main reason we they were included was to help stop poaching, which doesn't make any sense as suppressors weren't that widely used back then and the Nation had 25% unemployment at the height of the Great Depression. Talk to them about how your hunting animals' ears need protection, that you don't want to cause hearing loss with your horses and hunting dogs, and that suppressors aren't even regulated in most developed nations on earth, like in Finland. Also mention that the opposition to the HPA chose an "expert witness" who didn't disclose that he works for ShotSpotter as lead sales rep for North America, and that ShotSpotter has been losing millions of dollars every year now, and doesn't want to have to tweak their software and firmware to be able to better detect suppressed gunshots, even though they said their system already can detect them, along with people's conversations. Tell them the ACLU is opposed to ShotSpotter listening to people's conversations, and that PETA wants to protect animal hearing. Democrats think with their hearts, especially female Democrat aides and staffers. |

Wait, I thought the HPA was rolled into the SHARE act? Are they attempting to do the same thing? View Quote |

HPA still exists on its own. SHARE also contains HPA (or at least most of the HPA provisions???) Im not super clear on how it works out but HPA still exists as a separate thing. View Quote |

Can we get this stickied.
Also, I doubt HPA will pass on it's own if SHARE doesn't, but you never know. I think SHARE is our best chance. |

If SHARE passes, it makes HPA moot. If SHARE crashes and burns, we still have a (very, very tiny) chance to get HPA passed. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted:
