| I'm looking for some non bull shit "must haves" for my library. Basically if they were to purge factual history what books would you say were mandatory to have in your library to preserve truthful history for your kids? |
| Check to see if the local public library is having a book sale. Look for history books that were published before 1990, even though that might be getting into some "adjusted" information. Don't forget to look for books from other countries as they will have a different view point of the same events. |

The Oxford History of the United States
Currently reading The Glorious Cause: The American Revolution, 1763–1789 and Empire of Liberty: A History of the Early Republic, 1789-1815. Previously read What Hath God Wrought: The Transformation of America, 1815–1848 and I would rate it as the best book I have read in my entire life... and I'm a voracious reader, so that endorsement counts for something. If you think America is a great country, after reading this 928-page book you will find that the term "great" comes nowhere close to a true description. This book was also a Pulitzer Prize winner in history. |

My Amazon list is almost 200 books mostly just from reading What Hath God Wrought. |
