I'm a man of Hamilton's, Shinolas, Steinharts, Bulovas (the nice ones), Omega, etc and I need a new watch.

Going down to the BVIs this month for my wedding and I need a new digital watch. I'm a sailior, so I need a chronograph. Also needs to be waterproof to at least 10m. I've had two ironmans, and they've both died.

NOT a fan of the standard square gshock

NOT a fan of HUGE digital watches (like most gshocks)

dont need GPS, altitude, blah blah.

just a good digital watch with chrono and alarm.

Go?

I have a more than 15 y/o Citizen that has never had the battery changed. Their term is "light coupled" aka solar powered & recharged battery. It was little pricey in the day and because it still works without ever changing the battery ... I don't care.

A few years ago I thought I had killed by leaving in a desk drawer for a very long time. Maybe a year. Decided to put it on the railing around the back porch so it would get full sun light. Mission accomplished, but only after forgetting about for days at a time in which it was rained on AND fell off the railing 10' onto concrete. I think I did this twice. Just call me the village idiot. But, it is working fine!!!

I do consider setting the alarms & time zones a PITA, but maybe they have simplified things in 15 years.

Gonna be hard to find a quality dig without all the gps etc functions.  Maybe Samsung or apple smart watch.
I'd probably get Ana-dig like citizen Skyhawk.  Or you could get a Breitling

G-Shock and Suunto are the only answer.

I've owned Suunto and Casio with all the features. Still prefer Timex Ironman. I have yet to break one in about 15 years+ of wearing them. Under $30 on Amazon.

I'd be interested to hear how you destroyed yours. Was it during a dive? That's about the only think I haven't done with mine.

G-shocks have seemingly doubled in size over the years, but there are regular Casios that might suit you.
