Anyone have one of these? Thinking about ordering one so me and the kid can try it out. I know that the old wooden bucket style is cheaper, but the kitchenaid doesn't use salt and ice. It's supposed to make softer ice cream as well.

Wife had a maker with a paddle that spun around to mix the ice cream. As it thickened, the paddle had to work harder. Eventually the paddle broke. The replacement eventually broke, etc.
Costco had a Cuisinart ICE-30BC. The bowl spins and there is a fixed paddle that stirs the ingredients as the bowl rotates. Works fantastic. So great, I bought a second one so we can crank out the goods quickly. |
