Senator John McCain said on Monday that Russian President Vladimir Putin is a bigger threat to global security than the Islamic State militant group (ISIS).
Speaking in an interview with the Australian Broadcasting Corporation show “7:30,” McCain called Putin the "premier and most important threat, more so than ISIS.” While McCain said that "ISIS can do terrible things," he added that "it's the Russians who tried to destroy the fundamental of democracy and that is to change the outcome of an American election.” McCain said he has seen “no evidence” that Russia succeeded in changing the outcome of the election, but that Russians “tried, and are still trying.” McCain, a Republican from Arizona, also said that Russia tried to influence the French elections earlier this month. In the interview, McCain said the U.S. has “done nothing since the election last November to respond to Vladimir Putin's attempt to change the outcome of our elections. So, way to go Vladimir. We haven't responded at all.” He added that the U.S. should impose sanctions on Russia. Time to put Grandpa in a home. |

McCain is a shit-stain...period.
No more, "Oh, thank you for your service..." bullshit. Just fuck-off, John. You hate this country and your actions show it, so just fuck off. |

I'm reasonably sure there are many threats to our chosen form of government. ISIS being one, socialism / communism being another, the Norks another. Currently ISIS is an active short term threat that needs dealt with. Socialism is a longer term threat that is never going to go away.
We are likely never to have the luxury of dealing with one threat at a time and have it go away before another threat rises. It's never safe being king o' the hill. |

I love AZ, but could y'all please stop sending that lunatic to the Senate?

It's funny because only a few years ago he said Russia was a glorified gas station and no more than a regional power.

McCain isn't the problem, THE VOTERS WHO KEEP ELECTING HIM ARE THE PROBLEM.

....

ISIS is very soon going to be as much a part of history as Muhammed Ahmad,Abdul Rahman,Suleiman... They are down to about 2 square km of Mosul and the SDF/Western SOF are on the outskirts of Raqqa. Once they are no longer holding any ground, they won't be cool anymore. The ide ology will still be around - thanks Saudis!- but ISIS is pretty much finished: the caliphate is done.

That's correct in a very narrow sense:
Islamists *period* would be no threat whatsoever if shitsticks like McCain and Macron didn't insist on cucking out their countries to a bunch of 7th century invaders. |
|
The biggest threat to the US is all the Hillary voters followed by all the Bernie voters.

Hey John, the 80's called and they want their foreign policy back.

Oh yea, definitely, all those Russians walking into concerts and blowing themselves up. Or remember that one time that Russian walked into a nightclub and shot all those people? Or the one who drove a truck into a crowd? Or the Russian husband wife team that shot up the Christmas party? What about all those Russians setting fire to caged POWs? Or beheading people?
McCain was the one that walked the fake MI6 dossier about Trump into the FBI, pushing it's legitimacy on the intelligence community, why is he not facing censure for that? |

McInsane gets the support of the retirees here and enough of the leftists and LIVs to stay in office.
He proves that untreated syphilis is a terrible thing. |

Liberalism/Democrats are the greatest threat to America and Americans.
You can blame the huge black crime rate on the welfare system. I worry about blacks...not Russians. |
|
FJM.
He knows he is shilling more lies to perpetuate the myth of election interference. I wonder if he is going to use that same excuse if he gets voted out. |
|
Google McCain's list of Senate accomplishments. He has a piss poor record IMO.
Fuck him and his dog. |
|
I think Putin is potentially more dangerous than ISIS. He's as evil, has more resources and is a clever bastard.
|
|
Anyone who thinks that ISIS is a larger threat to the US than the Russians is a fool and shouldn't speak publicly on security issues.

LOL @ all the NeverTrumpers who rush to defend McCain's maidenly virtue.
That guy is a bigger threat to American than either Russia or ISIS. 80something year old senile bastard sputtering in front of the cameras with his hands on all sorts of classified information. |

Of course it is.
- Russia could fundamentally end life on earth - ISIS is having trouble controlling their own territory I'll say one is FAR more likely to try to end life in earth, but they're no where near the level of threat Russia or a number of other nation states are. stop trying to be offended, it's pathetic |

A: The total number of Russian nukes. Russia is a threat to America, ISIS is a threat to Americans. There is a huge difference. |

Even a broken clock is right twice a day.
I am mind blown by the number of people here who think Russia is not a serious threat to the USA. ISIS is a a couple thousand criminal zealots stuck in a desert. They may be able to get a few hundred of us at best. I remember when Obama and Romney had there little debate and Romney said Russia was our biggest threat. Obama said the cold war called and wants your foreign policy back. Anybody with half a brain and a basic understanding of geopolitics should be able to figure out what Russia is up to. I dare say Russia has put more GI's in the ground than Isis at this point. They had special forces on the ground assisting Iraq in 03. |
