I'm reasonably sure there are many threats to our chosen form of government. ISIS being one, socialism / communism being another, the Norks another. Currently ISIS is an active short term threat that needs dealt with. Socialism is a longer term threat that is never going to go away.
We are likely never to have the luxury of dealing with one threat at a time and have it go away before another threat rises. It's never safe being king o' the hill. |

ISIS is very soon going to be as much a part of history as Muhammed Ahmad,Abdul Rahman,Suleiman... They are down to about 2 square km of Mosul and the SDF/Western SOF are on the outskirts of Raqqa. I am mind blown by the number of people here who think Russia is not a serious threat to the USA. ISIS is a a couple thousand criminal zealots stuck in a desert. They may be able to get a few hundred of us at best. I remember when Obama and Romney had there little debate and Romney said Russia was our biggest threat. Obama said the cold war called and wants your foreign policy back. Anybody with half a brain and a basic understanding of geopolitics should be able to figure out what Russia is up to.
