Wear one till it's about dead. Then switch off between it and a new one. My Ford hat from my first truck (still have it) is my oldest at 6 years. Still wear it, but it's been retired to mechanic/outside work duty. Current every day wear is an Arctery'x trucker cap, but it's getting pretty worn, might be time for a new one. Cola Warrior cap sits in pristine condition as a trophy. Taos, NM hat sees occasional duty as a "dress" hat". |

| I have about 30 ballcaps, but only wear a beat up Pirates on field cap, that I rarely wear as it is. For some reason my brother keeps giving me ball caps I never wear but he'd get all verklempt if I gave them to good will, so I keep them in a box. I also have a fedora like Indy wore that I wear when I'm fishing or hiking. But I rarely wear anything on my head but my ever greying hair. |

About 7 I think. Keep one in the truck, one in the wife's car, one in a range bag, and several about the house.

| I have about 30. Several Stetsons and several Italian ones. I wore those when I was on the detective side of things. I was the CID commander in our precinct. Not on the Hat squad though. I bought my dad a Vietnam Nam veteran baseball hat, but he died before I could get it to him. Not that he would have wore it. |

I have one everyday/work hat that I wear until it falls apart, then I have 2 or 3 "nice" hats for town rotation. I've probably got 10 or 15 hats that are solely for hunting.
I've killed 5 or 6 everyday hats over the years. The one I'm wearing now is way beyond trashed but I just can't bring myself to toss it because it's so comfortable. |

I just spent the last 87 minutes counting them.
I own 87 hats. I have two dags. One dag owns 43 hats, the other dag owns 44 hats. You do the math. Yep. So arfcom cliche' that will drive the purists insane but what can you do? I will weep for the purists for precisely 87 minutes. No more..... No less...... Beat like a rented red headed mule. |

I've always had a thing for baseball stye hats, so I've got at least 20 of them that have very little wear time as I usually would buy them on sale and stuff them in the closet.
However my hair has thinned considerably over the past 5 years and sunburning my nugget is a thing now, so I've started getting some use out of them finally |
