Looks neat. Read about it in American Rifleman.

Anyone have one or shot one?

So you're going to make me google this shit instead of just posting a picture?

Neat idea, but at that price I could build a separate rifle in each of those calibers.

Not even being a dick, just assumed everyone read the article.

Besides, with all the industry guys I thought I may be late to this discussion.

I'd update the OP, but sonofbp took care of it.

After thinking on it a bit, this would be a great setup for a RDIAS.
Also, I dig their quick change barrel setup, it just needs a longer rail and low pro gas block.

Wasn't this sold by someone else before?

This might be good if you're one of the "If I can only have one rifle" kind of people.

And what's the point of having both 7.62x39 and 300 BO?

And FFS, can we please stop putting the M203 profile barrels on civilian rifles?

So did they buy out MGI hydra or whatever?

I like Windham, and I agree with you.

Just wondering aloud if this is a neat kit or whether buying separate rifles in these calibers would be a better move in today's environment.

I am a big Windham fan.

But............ This is not a smart choice for multi caliber.

When you think about what you are trying to achieve it is stupid because of the end price and complexity of everything.

Just buy a 7.62X39 complete Windham rifle for $499 shipped.

Then pick up a 5.56 upper and .300 upper and 9mm upper and you are done.

The only thing you would not get is the AK mag capability.  With CPD AR 7.62X39 mags being so good, I could care less about AK mags.

This do all kit usually sells for more than $2000

Windham makes a fine product for their price range. A very nice product.  Ive got stacks of AR made by many companies. I like my Windham.

Remember, that pic is not what you get. Some items are duplicates in that pic.

Also, accuracy will suffer with the swapping when compared to just having a fixed upper in different calibers.

One of the best deals in the AR market currently is the Windham 7.62X39 complete rifle for $499 shipped.

You get a hell of a lot for a little money.

4150 chromed line bbl and much more.

Just read the article. Reminds me of the old Olympic Arms multiple caliber kits from the late 80s

Might go that way.

Buddy is building a 9mm SBR (PSA Glock mags) so I can see that option as well.

I've also wanted to SBR a MP5K.

... just thinking aloud to the gun world.

Honestly, I'm the guy who hates 300blk so I figured this might be an excuse to own something in a pointless caliber I may end up liking.

Oh wait, being too reasonable. .300 Fagout

There. That's for GD.

All kidding aside it seems like an interesting setup.

I'll probably get the x39 and 9mm separate though, at this point.
