I went to Normandy for the 70th anniversary. The place is crawling with 1940s Harleys that look like they just rode off the set of a movie. Jeeps and wc 57s, even a halftrack, Dukws....it was awesome. I even saw a Schwimmwaggen.

I did alright on my cross country as it was already used. 2012 with 8k miles for 12K I think. While obviously not aas good as what you are talking about the value was decent. Now that I am thinking about selling it the resale really tanked. That's a smoking deal. The dealer here had all the bikes marked down to cost but nowhere near that price. I was looking at a Hammer but I really don't want to invest any more in a discontinued platform. Been looking at Harleys now for the first time in my life because at least I know the platform has a ton available and good longevity. |
