Is anyone else sick of "tacticool"? You know, 350# dipshits and momma's boys running around with their $3000 AR, stupid morale patches, "battle worn" glocks and punisher stickers. I love ARs, but I am sick of them too because they are the symbol of the tacticool crowd. Most of these people don't know jack shit other than what they pick up in mommy's basement playing video games or being pimped in some consumer grade magazine.

The fad is dying out a bit.
The era of the bro-shooter seems to be coming to an end. The last administration and the oil boom in tandem populated ranges with brodozers and know-nothings who dropped thousands on ridiculous boutique AR15s and whatnot. However I have seen less and less of them over the last few years. I think the tactical training fad hit its apex, and shooting in general is getting back to the way things were in the early 2000s: The people involved are the more dedicated type rather than casual hobbyists. |

They don't bug me but I certainly don't shoot next to them at the range if I can help it.
It's hard to concentrate when they're dumping mags as fast as they can. I saw a guy in a tactical vest pull in with 2 other cars following him the other day and I watched where they set up. I drove down to the other end of the range and 5 minutes later, I hear "bam bam bam bam bam bam bam bam bam bam bam" down where they were... that shit was predictable. What followed was an hour's worth of rapid fire from various firearms. |
