Since they don't have an industry page and maybe one of you heathens can answer this question...

Primary Arms Advanced Micro Dot 2017

When is this being released and why is it $130 more than the push button model?

Want that as well.

My original PA Micro Dot doesn't have any NV settings and running on my handgun under Nods makes me think i'm going to damage them at some point.

Thanks AFSOC.

OP hasn't asked this in our Industry Forums so I'll do my mea culpa here. I'm the goober in the video above, at the time of SHOT Show we just had a couple of prototypes of this optic and as far as I knew pricing was still up in the air and we hadn't gotten a straight answer on what the cost would be. So, the line about the price being under $300 was me basically going, "Well, it can't possibly be MORE than that, so when it's less than that people will be pleasantly surprised, might as well play it safe, right?"

Now this optic is much much closer to release and I have access to correct information. Our current top of the line MD-ADS red dot sells for $169.99 with a 3-year warranty, and I'm here to tell you guys, the new one is an improved unit with better waterproofing, metal turret caps instead of plastic, and a lifetime warranty, and it will still be well under $200, not $300.

You saw it here first.

I have a PA advanced micro dot with the two rubber push buttons on my work carbine. I probably have 4 grand invested in the damn thing and I regularly trust my life to it. I choose the PA dot because I have several and they've proven themselves to be every bit as reliable as an Aimpoint T-1 but at a much more reasonable cost.

I had a TRS-25 for about 2 years. It was essentially a safe queen. I shot maybe 1500 rounds a year... it started flickering on me one day. Changed batteries multiple times. Then just shot off. Bushnell basically said "too bad".

I'm willing to pay the extra $100 for 47,000 hours more battery life, much better durability, and avoiding the ugliest battery compartment ever made.

Oh, and you get PA's customer service... as evidenced in this thread.

Really, not that much. This is a really high quality, one piece body, good battery life, night vision compatible unit, and it's going to cost less than the current MD-ADS microdot which runs $169.99. Of course you need to buy a 30mm mount separately.

We used my cheapie retro M4gery for some glamour shots with the prototype scope, and it just looked and felt so damn right I'm going to buy my own production model and maybe even the same mount, and it'll just live there. I love this job.

It's a 2 MOA dot only, and there's no auto on/off, but the rotary switch has been improved, and I love it. Let me explain a bit. The last time we did a full size red dot like this, the rotary switch on the back would just turn continuously in either direction, so you had to look at the numbers or be looking through the scope to know when it's off. This time, we built a stop into the rotary switch, and an "off" setting at the stop in both directions. So when you want to turn the unit off, you just rotate the switch in either direction until it stops, and you're golden. You don't need to look through the scope, or at the scope, at all, you can turn it off totally by feel now. Way better.

You can see there are actually two "0" settings there, one next to the "10" and one next to "N1".

Will the lifetime warranty be coming to your prism sights?

Will you be updating the PA logo with a more Tier 1 font or logo on the red dot?

Do you guys anticipate ever being able to accomplish a RMR that's pistol rugged, long battery life, and at your famous price points?
