I thought I remembered the can being awesome. All I can find for sale is bottles. Very frustrating.

On tap in Dublin, it doesn't get any better.

Tomorrow night I am set for a half dozen proper pints.  Love me some Guinness.

Oh, if you can't get on draft then a can.

Bottled Guinness tastes horrible compared to the canned version with nitro.

Draught or from the bottle or can? I do not discriminate.

This. The cans aren't  perfect but they are miles better than the bottles.

I do pick me up some of this occasionally. Not too crazy about the draught but will drink it.

Only ever drank Guinness from the bottle, never seen any in cans around here.

Guinness is my go to beer.  If it's not on tap it has to be from a can.  I avoid the bottles.

Same.  The bottles just don't taste right.

Can...garbage can, that is. Shit's awful and barely a step above Budweiser. Get a real Porter.

If you don't like Guinness from a bottle then you don't really like Guinness ..

Black Butte Porter is in my top five beers!  This is a stout thread, however.

Draught from your local pub is best. If draught cannot be had, get the draught-style cans, they're a good-enough approximation.

Bottles = meh.

I was trying to be generous. Comparing it against actual Stouts is even more embarrassing

O'Connor's Dry Irish Stout > Guinness.

It's local too

Surger can.

It's not as good as from a clean tap with a fresh keg. But it's BETTER than from an old keg or dirty lines.

Can poured into a glass
5/16/2017 3:17:32 AM EDT

Neither.. not a big fan.

Guinness Foreign Extra on the other hand is pretty decent!  7.5% and extra hops.

CAN  poured   IN A GLASS.  period.

Also murphys is good .  Its cheaper and has a slightly different taste and body

Yes.

Same answer for beer in general.

Always the can or a tap, bottles suck.

Hell, they aren't even a pint!
5/16/2017 6:07:03 AM EDT

Seems better on tap, it also seems better out of a can than bottle.

Either way, it needs to be extra cold.
5/16/2017 6:34:48 AM EDT

Can poured into a glass if it's not on tap.

I just miss the days back when only certain bars had it that were authorized for it, and invested in nitrogen taps. As soon as they opened up distribution and allowing anyone to serve it, and nitrogen taps became regular due to microbrews, quality went all over the map.
