My LGS called me saying he got some gun parts in along with some "distressed" Krags. I showed-up, bought some parts and was offered this 1952 vintage .25 Astra 200 Firecat.

It's based on the FN-1906. It's a internal hammer-gun and not striker fired. It has three safeties, lever, grip, and mag along with a loaded chamber indicator. Very safe.

Anyway $140.00 later for parts, gun, and a box of ammo away I went. I picked-up a old Redfield no drill receiver sight for a Krag and that just might pay for the whole shebang.

Cool.
I've had an odd desire to own an old, steel .25acp for a while.  Don't know why.

Nice.  Star and Astra were very underrated IMO.

When detailed cleaned it I noticed there wasn't a mill mark to be seen on it. It's very well made.

The examples with wartime date-codes bring good money as they were very popular with German officers. They bought them on their own hook but as far as I know none were German proofed.

There were even factory engraved 200s.
