I was looking for one yesterday to introduce my 1 yr old to snakes. It's sad so many grown men act like little bitches when confronted with nature.

My old boss almost shit himself one day at work when I picked one up. He started cussing me and swearing he knew someone in high school that was killed instantly by one of those "ground rattlers". Fucking retard.

I used to raise them when I was a kid, they gave birth to live young.

Their only defense when caught in the wild (retrieved from under a rock or small log) is to crap on your hand.

If you're near the Marietta/Kennesaw area, I have a ball python who is safe to handle.

Looks like a northern brown snake to me. We have them all over ohio, as common and harmless as garters.

Thanks, I am close, in Acworth. I have several friends with snakes, and until last year had some myself most of my life.

Maybe I need a new pet. I have been considering a pair of anteresia, just not sure which species.

Welcome to GD where we are fine with you killing anything unless it doesn't have arms or fins.  If it doesn't have arms or fins then we automatically treat it like it's on the bad end of the endangered species spectrum and flip out if you dare lay a finger on it.

Well, to be fair this like posting pictures of a dead cat and claiming you just killed a baby Mountain Lion.

I guess I was wrong. Hmm...

Anyway, I went to church to pray for god's forgiveness for killing the snake.

On the way home I saw another one, so I stopped and picked it up. It felt cold, so I stuck it in my pants to warm it up.

I am sure that the world will be full of rats now that I killed a poor, harmless snake.

OP you remind me of a special ed 8 year old.

Don't go out in nature if you kill animals you can't even identify. Especially "baby" animals.

Some snakes are protected.

Field ID is a basic skill of outdoorsmen. Good luck hunting waterfowl and trying to explain to a wildlife officer why you blasted a heron instead of a coot.

I guess you got a nice hit of adrenaline from killing that harmless snake. Why don't you go stomp some salamanders and shoot some goldfinches. retard.

This is a baby copperhead. Notice the spade-shaped head, boldy defined coloration and tail. OP did not kill a baby copperhead

Talking to a magic sky fairy won't make you any less wrong about pointlessly killing a harmless animal.
