I'm going to start a pot of ham and bean soup later too. Takes two days for mine though as I let the stock cool overnight in the fridge and skim it the next day before heating it back up and cooking the beans. Plus skillet cornbread.

I started to get those, but I don't like the way they cook. The lentils turn to mush and the black & garbanzos stay hard.

Damn, this sounds great! Although I don't have a ham bone I do have some salt pork. Corn bread sounds good too. I normally eat corn tortillas stuffed with crumbly goat cheese and sliced avocado. Thanks OP, I know what's cooking for tomorrow.
