Passed this beast on the highway today. Other than it being a tank, and "looking" Russian to me I had no clue what it was. Web search leads me to think it is an IS-3?

I thought about trying to get him to stop so I could check the fuel tank for gold bars...

I had to look up an IS-3 but the turret looks different.

It does look Soviet thought.

ETA: The wiki page has a pic of an IS-2 at the top so I was looking at the wrong picture.

The pointed hull is definitely an IS-3. Either its a museum piece or some richy-rich dude has an awesome NOS toy.

It was eastbound I-80, just heading into Parley's Canyon. I felt bad for the driver, he hadn't even got close to where it starts getting steep and the best he could do is about 45 mph. He had his work cut out for him to get that thing over the summit.
