....for a new push on "Gun Control" ?
The 60 Minutes piece on Shady Hook last night. Just saw a newspaper article on the Virginia Tech incident. Radio blurb this morning on Columbine(understandable, anniversary is the 20th). Just seems curious. Discuss in a civil manner |

I ain't scured, they can't do $hit in the current atmosphere, at least federally.
Even my lefty state is afraid to push anything because those politicians KNOW they will lose their place next election. I do, however, consider this a time to stock up for a potential future push when the whack-a-doos regain power. |

Discuss in a civil manner All that is happening in these parts is major gun rights victories and expansions. Haven't really been keeping up too much on what has been going on in the commie states though. But, we President now anyways. |

If the comic strips get into the action, it's time to get radioactive. |

With Clinton in the whitehouse this would be rolling full steam already. Tough shit for them (on a federal level anyways) All this stuff has been planned for and scheduled for since Hillary backed out of the race in '08 and let FBHO win. All this stuff was planned for Hillary winning and the "Alt-left" scenario was supposed to be in play. Just one more reason that her losing was such a great thing. |

There is a clear trend to sell gun control as a public health issue due to suicides, cost for care of gunshot victims, and the psychological trauma of gun violence. This effort is just getting legs. Pediatricians, trauma care, public health MDs in particular are publishing studies and cross citing them to develop a body of literature in this area.
The MSM have begun to pick up on this and are featuring more favorable reports on the public health angle. The left is past ready. |

After the Syria thing, all it may take for Trump to change his course is a "little bitty babies" moment.
I don't trust or distrust Trump any more then any other politician but there is now precedence on him doing a 180 on a longstanding opinion of his. Also: Three previous Republican presidents have signed gun control legislation of some sort. |

Always looking out for their "good first step". Anyway, the hard left owns Oregon, and they're going with throttles forward. Yesterday they were in the process of shoving a bunch of anti-gun laws through but they fucked up on some procedural thing. By the end of the week they'll probably ram it through. |

Our side should be working just as hard to repeal gun laws as much as the Dems would be working to enact more gun laws. Quoted:

Republicans control both houses, Trump is president, and we now have a 5-4 majority on the USSC. All they can do is bitch. Yeah right. The right loves giving away our 2A protections just as much as the left. They just have to be more ambiguous about it and do it under the guise of compromise.

Intended to assist the Anointed Queen in prying the guns from our hands, - cold and dead being just fine with them. |
