| "click" equals how far ?? |
|
Quoted: Quoted: In distance, one kilometer. Or I've also heard it refering to .25 MOA.(one click windage or elevation). Depending on the scope or iron sights it could also be 1 MOA. Or 1/8 MOA or whatever. you're right. I heard it from a sniper's spotter, when sighting in. |

Klick = kilometer FYI - Sleeping Bag = Fart Sack I am not sure of the precise etymology of hte term, but I believe it derives from some sort of map measuring device (1 click=1 kilometer on map) While this is merely speculation, it would make sense, as that is how some other terms have been derived... A "klick" is short for kilometre. A kilometre is 0.621 of a mile. If you mulitply the distance in miles by 1.6 that will give you the distance in kilometres. I hate the metric system but when maps are marked off in grid squares that represent 1000 metres on the ground what are ya gonna do? This concludes todays lesson. |
