Exactly. Containment tank failure is my guess. It has no flame, and you see bits of foam floating down indicating that whatever went was under the seats.

Causes?
Manufacturing flaw?
Corrosion?
Impact damage?

My buddy had a propane powered ranger in High School.
We always had to plan any jaunts around how much he had to get where ever and back since you couldnt count on finding a propane fill up station just anywhere. Had like a 100gallon tank in the bed. Always wondered what would happen if we had a wreck if it would be any worse than a tank full of gas.

I had a company truck that was propane back in the early 70's. It was always in the back of my mind about what would happen in a wreck.

The tanks pressure cycle like an airliner. Maybe it was a bit past due?

Wow. Video said CNG not LPG.

CNG is high pressure, IIRC 1500 -2500 psi.
That was only a tank failure, ONLY.
No fire , no explosion. Even so, the back fell off.
With a spark, that could have been really more devastating.
