I've got two dags (see my avatar) that I treat with Revolution. I generally buy a year's supply at one time and just got sticker shock.  

2 dags x 12 months = $400.  

That's 'ruff, ruff' on my walket.

I think it was closer to $300 last year. Maybe I'm mistaken.

Any thoughts/suggestions/angles on cost control?

iirc, you can get some from Australia for less than it sells for here

that's some amazing shit though and in the end, it's worth the price.  I had a sick cat with fleas and was gonna put normal anti-flea stuff on him.  my vet stopped me, saying that it would have 100% killed him.  She gave me a sample of Revolution and within 24 hours there were 200 dead fleas around his sleeping area

I agree, it is the gold standard for flea and heartworm protection.  

It seems to cost its weight in gold, though.
