Anyone out there with an in-ground flagpole? Looking for something about 15'.

Should I try to find a 1 piece (shipping might cost more than the pole?), or is there some multipiece out there that doesn't look like crap?

What do you use for a night time light? There is sidewalk between the house and where I'd put the pole, so wiring might be an issue.

No idea how to find my thread on the one I built a couple months ago.

2 inch iron conduit at base, reduced to 1 1/2 , reduced to 1 1/4 for the top section. All welded construction and about 3 1/2 ft deep . Top height is around 25 ft.
I didn't concrete the pole itself, but concreted a 3 in conduit for a sleeve and set the pole in it with pea gravel.
I'll try and post pics later.

I've seen something similar that looked great, and was relatively inexpensive.  Only difference is he concreted two pieces of 2", and bolted the flag pole between them.  This way you could remove one of the bolts, and pivot it down.

I have one. Built it as a bolt on type, buried a 12" pipe in a bunch of cement, and welded a flange to the stub sticking out of the ground. Then built a pole starting with 12" pipe and flange and necked it down every 20ft. All in all its about 125' tall with a 20x38 flag on top. It does the trick.

I picked mine up from Sportsmans Guide about 10 years ago.
I think it's 15' tall and has 4 sections or so.
It wasn't very expensive.

My wife bought me one a few years ago.  It had a sleeve that you set in concrete and the pole, which came in 3 or 4 sections slides down into the sleeve.  I don't think it was very much money and it only took me about an hour(maybe less) to dig the hole and set the sleeve in concrete.  I'd definitely go that route again.
