I recently (about a week ago) got one because I shop Amazon a lot and thought it would be a good thing to have. However, since I got the card I noticed some mixed reviews/complaints about it, specifically with respect to the managers (Synchrony Bank) of the card. Do you have one, if so what has been your experience with it?

What does that one give you versus the Prime credit card (that is issued through Chase)? I've got that one and it's great. And the card is metallic.

I got an amazon prime card a few weeks ago, also because I shop amazon a lot.  It's managed by Chase, though.   5% back on all amazon purchases and came with $70.00 gift card.

I have had one for about a year. No issues. Payments seem to take an extra day or two to post vs. my other credit card but so what. The %5 cash back makes good deals even sweeter. I've used the 6mo no interest promotion a few times as well in lieu of the %5 back.

As above, pay on time no issues.

Really like the 5% off on everything.  Refunds go smoothly too.

In the exact same boat as you. Just got one this last week. We shall see I guess.

Interest free financing. The chase card used to only have 3% but they changed to match the store card 5%. Not really worth it to have both anymore.

I have one. The auto 5% a the end of the month rocks. I set it to autopay, never paid any interest or had any issues. Ymmv, interest rates are insane if you don't pay it off. I never tried the 6 no interest crap, that shit gets confusing on what parts to pay or not if you're actively using the card. (By design, they want to nail you on the interest).

This. Chase card used to only be 3%, less of an issue since they bumped it to 5 if you already have one of them. I have both

The only issue I've had is that finding the actual payment scheduling site was a major pain in the ass.  Once I found it, when I gave my account number, said it didn't exist.  I had to put waaaaaay more effort into getting that all squared away than it should have taken.

I've had one for several years now. No problems or issues. The 5% is nice, especially if you pay it off every month plus I've also had several 0% offers for xx months.. And they gave me an obscene credit line. That one is a good or bad depending on your personal credit discipline.

I did miss the due date one time. Synchrony will LET YOU KNOW. I'm talking 7 am the next morning, your phone is ringing with "Bob" from "Georgia" ready to take your payment.

Like with most things credit card related, make your payments and don't go over your limit and you will seldom have problems.

You can also manage if you want payments applied to your promotional balance first, vs. strictly paying off most recent purchases.

Don't have a problem with either of their cards, I have the visa issued by Chase and I have the prime store card which covers my wife's book subscription as long as you follow the plan and pay the bill on time, there is no problems at all.

That was a different card, and I think they may still have it - the regular Amazon card, versus the Prime one. Pretty sure you can't get the Prime one if you're not a Prime member.

Never had a problem with the Chase Prime card.  I use it over the Synchrony Store card.

I got one.  I love the 0% on big purchases.  Easy to break up over a few pay periods.

Use it smart - pay on time - no problems.  Awesome card.
