Laura Linney, even in mom slacks or safari attire, ain't bad. Lot's of cool gunplay in the movie.

Good book, and the movie was decent, except for the apes and their set. That part was a fucking train wreck. Land of the Lost (the original one) quality sets.

Ooof that was a bad movie, saw it for the first time about a week or two back. I have seen snips here and there but never watched it all the way through until I clicked in it one night and watched it all the way to the end. Can you say cheesy

The bad apes in this movie were inspired by the the Bili Apes (aka Lion Killer Apes). A larger chimpanzees species in the Congo.

M14 action as well, the gun action comment reminded me.

Hucking that fat diamond out at the end was tough.

I liked Bruce Campbell's limited appearance and Joe Don Baker with the golf club. "That's a 12,000 channel chip! If you put all that power through there..!"

Saw some of it on Showtime last week. When the team was being probed by the apes they were firing into the jungle blindly. From the sound effects it sounded like two guys had a MG42 or a Nambu.

There are very very few stupid/bad movies, that I ENJOY watching. Congo is one of them.

I won't argue with anyone who says it sucks. It is just really entertaining for me. Sorta of like how people love ID4, for all it's obsurd, over the top shit.

Book was good, movie was suck.

That movie was so bad it could ruin a blowjob.

Sucked so bad half way through I clawed my eyes out and was sad when they grew back.

I liked the music alot. Especially "Spirit of Africa" by Jerry Goldsmith.

Very "African" in feeling.

Again, this movie makes me feel like I'm on a Disney Jungle Cruise ride, but the animals attack.
