Worth the money on these workstations?  Looking at the MB-1084 Tech Series as a "buy once cry once" for the workshop...other recommendations certainly welcome here of course.

Find a nice one on craigslist for about half what a new one would run ya.

Talk to your Mac or Snap-On truck guy.
If you have cash ready to go you can often pick up a lightly used repo from them at a heavy discount.

If it's for a home workshop and not going to be dragged all over, it's damn tough to beat the Harbor Freight 72" box.  Link

There's usually a coupon floating around to get it for $1,099 and sometimes even $999.

If you plan on moving it around a lot fully loaded, then I'd probably look at Mac, Snap-On, Cornwell or Matco.

Not moving it at all once it is in place so will definitely look at the Harbor Freight option.  That saves a bunch of money for other workshop things like a drill, a vise, a new compressor, etc.

Thank you -

If you're willing to look at Horror Fraught, you might also consider the big box store brands Husky and Kobalt.  Just be sure to unbox them at the store and check for dents.

US General boxes are well received on Garage Journal.

I'd have no problem using them for a home shop. Then again I'm also the heathen that uses Pittsburgh Pro and Gear Wrench ratchets with Snap On sockets.

So burn me at the stake purists!
