| In 1917 our population was 103 million. Today it is close to 350 million. Are we really being well served by the same number of Congress critters now as we were then. With the advent of the internet/social media ,which obviously didn`t exist in 1917, have we failed to respond to changing circumstances? |

I think the founding fathers were much smarter than anyone serving in Congress today - much bigger thinkers - and got it as right as possible for a first try. |

The number in congress isn't going to change anything. What we really need to do is get rid of the direct elections for Senators and give senators back to the states. I fully agree that popular election of senators was a mistake. I disagree with your first point. Our representatives are no longer representative. How can they be? They represent too many people? They arent close enough to their constituents to truly understand their interests. |

Give selection of Senators back to the state. Have one Representative for each county. If you recall the red/blue map by county that map shows that there would never be a Dem majority in the House. Chances of the 17th going away?lol Iowa has 99 counties.99. We have 4 reps now. |
