I'm about to bolt a safe into concrete and need help with some last-minute questions.
Safe will go in an area where it fits exactly, ie width of the safe is the exact distance between the walls. That means I cannot access the safe from either side, since walls will be there. This means I will need to push the safe into place from the front. 1) What moisture barrier should I use between safe and concrete that will allow me to push the safe over it? (I have already used Drylock on the cement floor) A rubber horse stall mat was suggested, but if I put it down and pushed the safe over it, how do I get it to stay down instead of being pushed back against the wall? 2) If I use Loctite cement epoxy on the bolts, does it make more sense to tighten the wedge anchors immediately, or wait for the epoxy to set before tightening? |
