I pushed the red button and said, "I was drinking my tea and all I have now is this cup full of ice! [Say it like your dog ran away and you can't find him] Can I have some tea to go with my ice?"
Bam, out comes a rt44 cup full of tea, no ice.
No charge.

Sonic does not give free refills. The employees are not allowed to take your cup into the employee area. I suspect the government is somehow involved in this silliness.
