Guilty or not?
I am watching O.J.: Made in America on vice channel. Sociopath |
|
I was working in downtown L.A. the day the verdict came down.
We were sent home early, as there was a serious concern about how the indigenous would respond. Lots of starry-eyed troublemakers bangin' around, just looking for an excuse. Any excuse. None of us wanted to be the next Reginald Denny |

Guilty or not? I am watching O.J.: Made in America on vice channel. Sociopath Per retired FBI agent and profiler John Douglas, the perp apparently became enraged when he arrived at Nicole Simpson's house and saw a lot of lit candles inside. This was a romantic ritual that she did with her significant other. The killer had likely already been stalking her well before the murder. She had been known to keep a large kitchen knife in her home within easy reach. Upon seeing the candles, the already jealous killer became even more enraged and it just so happened that a young, dashing Ronald Goldman dropped by. The killer appeared and trapped Goldman in the little area by the door to the house. After taking care of Gokdman, the killer focused on his real target Nicole Simpson. The murder was a form of "punishment." Douglas also predicted the killer would attempt a "suicide" but not go through with it. The killer would also to be able to pass a lie detector because he had already justified the crime in his mind. She deserved it. |

Wasn't there some notion that he stopped taking his anti-inflammatory drugs for weeks before that, which caused his joints to swell up? Quoted:

| Even OJ's friends were convinced he did it. I had forgotten what a veritable mountain of evidence existed against him. I'm simply amazed he wasn't convicted. Seems like it came down to an almost entirely black jury that just wanted to see a black man get away with murdering a white woman. Hard evidence be damned. |

I watched most of the trial on live TV and read quite a few books on it, including the one the mini-series is based on. If you can find a photo of OJ and his lawyers when the verdict came down, Bob Shapiro looks like a guy who knows he just helped someone get away with a double murder. I just started watching the mini-series and they did an amazing job on recreating the principals and the setting. The behind the scenes stuff is fascinating. A friend's step-dad was an attorney in California and he said Cochrane was a slime ball but Shapiro was a good guy who was well respected.
The first time I heard of the Kardashians, my first thought was "I wonder if they are related to the guy in the OJ trial, the one with a white stripe in his hair....?" The first time I saw a Kardashian, I knew there had to be a family connection.

Was on ESPN last summer? It is fantastic |
