13th is a 2016 American documentary by director Ava DuVernay. Centered on race in the United States criminal justice system, the film is titled after the Thirteenth Amendment to the United States Constitution, which outlawed slavery (unless as punishment for a crime). DuVernay's documentary opens with the idea that 25 percent of the people in the world who are incarcerated are incarcerated in the U.S. and argues that slavery is being effectively perpetuated in the U.S. through mass incarceration. Netflix thanks you for your support. |

Netflix is very biased in their choices of crime documentaries. I am a big fan of them and I think they only have two that focus on the deeds of bad men, Panzram and H.H. Holmes. The rest are all about wrongful convictions and injustice in the justice system. If a person watched only Netflix to learn about American crime they would think the vast majority of people in prison are innocent and slaves.
The real slaves are the tax payers who have to pay for the incarcerated to live better than they did on the street. I know inmates that are happy to be locked up because they can get their medical issues taken care of for free. |

I dumped Netflix long ago, don't see the value. I went with Kodi using Exodus for movies and USTV Now for my other needs like news and sitcoms. I do Kodi with Netflix. I know Kodi has everything that Netflix does, but Netflix is user friendly for the kids. I also have Amazon Prime and the Fire Stick. |

Is there an app in Kodi that gets into Netflix or is it just the paid portal? Just curious, would never steal Netfux ;) |

I dont know if 25% is correct, but compared to the rest of the world the USA is obsessed with criminalizing behavior and punishing via incarceration. |

Opposing viewpoints? There is NO opposing viewpoint on Netflix. It's SJW all the way down. Quoted:

Seems a tad like the ideals of the commie lefties that get butt hurt when they hear opposing views and ideas, huh? Opposing viewpoints? There is NO opposing viewpoint on Netflix. It's SJW all the way down. |

I don't buy into the crap about prison being the new slavery, but I don't doubt that the United States has 25% of the world's prisoners. We've got over two milllion people locked up with another 4.7 million on probation or parole. |

Keep in mind that European countries are a lot more homogeneous than we are, and don't have the same social problems that we do. Add in the countries that just execute people instead of prison, and/or have lawlessness. |

Thanks to our Puritan influence, we really do get off on criminalizing lots of behavior simply because we disapprove of it. Malum prohibitum versus malum in se crimes. |

The NFA for example, along with pretty much every other gun law. |

"Screw Netflix, I'ma steal my movies cuz I'm one of the good guys!“ ![]() He will be in shortly to justify why he isnt a thief. There is no intent on my part. You know exactly what you're doing. If you are going to watch paid content without paying for, at least have the balls to admit that's what you're doing. |
