[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Chili Thread (56k Warning, Pic heavy)

Usually a beans guy, but being that I'm doing the keto diet, I had to go no beans. So I made me some Texas style chili....
Started by toasting some chilis...
Then I got out about 2.5 lbs. of cubed meat...
Then I sauteed some onion and garlic...
Then I blended together the chilis, a chipotle and some sauce, beef broth, and some water for the chili base....
I then threw is all together in a stock pot and let is simmer for 3 hours...
And this was the end result. Not bad....I still like my chili with beans better, but this will be more than fine while doing keto.

What the fuck?!
Looks great and probably tastes great but that's not fucking chili.
Chop it up, add tomatos/sauce and beans. NOW, you have chili

More sauce and brown the meat before adding the sauce to the pot.

Definitely agree that more sauce is needed. And I did brown the meat prior to adding anything to it.

Throw it back in the blender and puree it.
It will pour down the toilet easier and you might get away with one flush.
