My wife is inquring about something called ABC Mouse.

no clue what it is, wanted me to ask other parents.

My daughter is 2, so that's the age for whatever this thing is for.

Teaches kids how to count and their abc's.

It's a pretty self explanatory site.

Our daughter does pretty good speaking, but my wife is wanting to get her ahead more with learning

Has it worked for you?

We had it on an iPad around the time my daughter was 2....she seemed to like it...cant say how much it had to do with her language acquisition, but even if it provides a toy that you can feel good about her playing with, there isn't really a down side.

In the nineties, its predecessor abc 123 was the number one selling education software along with Oregon trail and Mavis Beacon typing.

From what I hear ABC mouse is gtg.

It is better than playing Angry Birds.

Other than that...  ::shrug::  Unless your kid is "into" computers (something I would NOT encourage) I would not consider it.

Read to her.  Play with her. Play math games.

My oldest is relatively "smart" but still has speech issues and probably under-developed fine motor skills.  Computer time helps with neither.

Had it for my daughter. She lost interest in it fairly quickly and we cancelled the subscription. A few months later she asked about it so we signed back up and she did it for a week or so and then lost interest in it again. YMMV.

The best thing you guys can do is read to her and DO NOT use baby talk.

My daughter used ABC mouse...she is in advanced courses at her school and her school is the #1 college prep school in the state of PA.  My daughter loved doing ABC mouse when she was younger.

Online learning site, great system by the way. My son has been doing the curriculum since age 3, he's 5 now. Kids learn without knowing they're learning, essentially a collection of games, art, etc that are tied into grade levels.

My son kind of stalled out doing the same shit over and over then lost interest. Seems like it would be useful with th adult supervision, hopefully my son and I will find an adult

I read my kid books facing them so I am reading the text upside down. I point at the word, read it, and have them recite it. Builds skills for both of us.

We don't use baby talk.  My wife uses flash cards, though she thinks every crayon is yellow now. Lol.

She picks up quick, like with the moon, she was pointing and going Moon.  She knows the animal sounds and stuff.  We send her to daycare 3 days a week (my niece is her teacher). That helped with her being introverted.  Wife is just looking for more ways to teach.  I think it's a competition with a friend who is a teacher and has a daughter close in age but knows more words.

We use some things on the iPad with her for animals and she has learned those quickly off of it.  So the wife thinks it would be good.

Well then you got to start teaching her stuff the competition doesn't know.
